Okay, so people always ask if politicians like Akin Alabi really help their areas or if it's just talk. From what I've heard, Akin Alabi is actually involved with stuff in his Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency. He's a lawmaker at the National Assembly, so his main job is making laws, speaking up for his people, and making sure their issues get attention in Abuja. For example, when his community has something that needs fixing, like schools or roads, it’s his job to push for funding or projects. I once read about a project he helped bring to his area, and people there seemed pretty happy about it. It’s always hard to tell how much of it is because of one person, but his getting a title like Jagun Olubadan shows he’s at least being noticed for trying to make a difference. So yeah, he really does stuff that matters, not just shaking hands and making promises like you see on TV all the time.
