I think Isco’s comeback to La Liga with Betis is honestly one of the coolest stories this season. Before this year, I honestly thought he was kinda done at the top level, but man, has he proved everyone wrong! Scoring 9 goals and assisting 7 in just 21 games is wild, and apparently he’s outperformed his expected stats too. Every time I watch Betis, you just notice how different the team is with Isco running the show—he basically controls the attack and makes everyone around him better.
About the Betis vs Valencia match, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Isco does something special again. He’s already been involved in goals in 3 of his last 4 La Liga games, and you can tell he loves the big moments, especially with the home crowd hyping him up on their last game at Benito Villamarin.
In my opinion, if Betis wants to go out with a bang before their stadium closes, Isco will be right in the middle of it. Unless Pellegrini decides to rest him, I’d bet on Isco to make some noise – he just looks different this season!
