Yeah, there’s a lot of fake news floating around about this whole Akwa Ibom commissioner resigns drama. I’ve noticed people love to spread stuff on social media without checking if it's true. Based on the news, only one commissioner actually resigned over not wanting to join the APC with the governor. But after that, there were all these rumors that other commissioners were also quitting or refusing to go along. The cool thing is, some of them, like the finance and works commissioners, actually came out and called it all nonsense. They said they’re still loyal and support the governor, so it’s obvious people are just trying to stir drama or confuse voters.
Personally, I think people jump on any chance to make politics messy, especially online. It really shows how important it is to get your news from actual statements and not just random posts. If something sounds crazy, it’s usually smart to wait and see if any officials talk about it. Honestly, I wish politicians would be more upfront from the start when changes happen, so rumors couldn't mess things up so much.
