Honestly, I've talked to a bunch of people who went to unl, and almost everyone says the school really tries to help students land jobs after graduation. Unl actually has this whole career services department where they hook people up with job fairs, resume help, and connections to local companies. Like, a friend of mine got her first agricultural research job just because she met her boss at a campus career event. Agriculture is a pretty big thing at unl, not gonna lie.
But it's not just farming stuff. They have connections in education, business, engineering, and healthcare too. One person I know got into a tech job in Lincoln, and another found a marketing gig in Omaha thanks to a professor's recommendation. Companies like Cargill, Union Pacific, and even some PBS/NPR offices recruit there. They also push internships a lot during college, so it's not just about full-time jobs after you leave. If you use their job boards and actually talk to the career counselors, I've found that's what really helps.
