This is one of those things I still can’t really get my head around, to be honest. So, Isakin Jonsson is called the Skara Cannibal because he killed and actually ate parts of his girlfriend, which is just next level disturbing. Everyone wants to know, like, why would someone do that? From what I’ve read and what his daughter Jamie-Lee Arrow said, it’s not a simple answer.

Jamie-Lee said her dad told her he did it to try to get help for his mental health, which seems super messed up as an excuse. She thinks now he just wanted to live out his own weird dark fantasies. Jonsson had a pretty rough childhood himself, and he grew up exposed to violence, so maybe that played a part. But honestly, lots of people have tough lives and don’t do what he did.

What really blows my mind is that Jamie-Lee stayed in touch with him for a long time even after everything. She talked about how it messed her up emotionally for years, but she wanted closure. For her, it was about understanding as much as possible so she could heal and move on. I totally respect that—she’s been super honest about how hard it’s been.
