Seriously, the Kovacic red card in the City vs Bournemouth match was one of those moments that made everyone groan. Kovacic got sent off because he denied Bournemouth a really clear goal scoring chance. From what I saw, he made a last-ditch tackle and the ref had no choice but to give a straight red. That means not only did City have to finish the game with ten men for a while, but now Kovacic will also miss their last game of the season and the first two of next season.

Honestly, that sucks for the team because Kovacic had his best season yet, with 6 goals and a couple of assists, and he’s kinda become a key player for City now. Not having him at the start next year could maybe mess with the midfield at first, especially since City’s midfield is always about being super tight and organized. I remember everyone being a bit nervous when he left the pitch, but City still managed to win, so for now it’s okay. But yeah, Pep will have to figure out who’ll step up until Kovacic is back—maybe Rodri or another new signing. Still, that red card felt like a rough way to end such a big home game.
