It honestly feels like HBO Max can't make up its mind with this whole name situation. First, it was HBO Max, then they dropped HBO and just called it Max, but now they're switching back to HBO Max again. I've noticed a lot of people online are kind of annoyed and confused about it, and I totally get it. My friends and I joked about it like, "Does the app even know what it's called today?" For regular viewers, it's just kind of a hassle because every time they change the name, you wonder if you need a new account or if your app will update or break.

One thing that sticks out is how the HBO name actually means something to people – like, we all know HBO makes really good shows and movies, so removing that felt weird. Maybe that's why they're bringing it back. Some people felt like the change was pointless and even a bit embarrassing for a big company, but others say they like that HBO is back in the title because it's what got them interested in the service in the first place. Either way, it's definitely confusing for everyone trying to keep up. I wish they'd just pick a name and stick with it!
