Oh, this move by Governor Umo Eno really caught people off guard. From what I’ve seen, he said it was all about supporting President Tinubu and wanting Akwa Ibom to get more help from the federal government. But honestly, I think there’s always more to these kinds of switches.

I remember when my uncle was super loyal to PDP during elections, and he was shocked about this. In my view, politicians sometimes jump parties because they’re thinking about their own survival or projects rather than just ideas. Like, if the main government is one party, you don’t wanna be left out with the other side, especially for big money projects or political favors. Plus, Eno said he likes what Tinubu's doing on the economy, but dude just became governor in 2023, so it seems quick, right?

So, I don’t think it’s just about President Tinubu—it feels like a political strategy to keep Akwa Ibom in the "good books" and maybe keep his own power solid. It’s like switching teams to win the championship. And yeah, party principles start looking pretty blurry when power is on the line.
