Honestly, I think there's way more going on with the Rivers sole administrator resigns thing than just wanting to go back to private business. When someone gets put in a crazy political spot like that and then peaces out after only 70 days, it makes you wonder. I've seen people say that he got pressure from all sides—like, no support from the big political guys and regular people were pretty much over it too. Plus, there are stories floating around that he was even threatened or roughed up, which is kinda wild if you ask me. After he quit, apparently, the police took over the council building because everyone was so on edge. That doesn't sound like a normal "I want my old job back" situation to me.
I've noticed stuff like this in local politics before, where someone is pushed out when things get ugly or when nobody trusts who's in charge. Some people are even saying he quit to prep for elections coming up in August, but who really knows? It just sounds like Rivers State politics are super unstable right now, and being sole administrator looks way more dangerous and stressful than you'd think. I wouldn't want that job, and I doubt he did either, honestly.
