Werenoi was just on another level when it came to making music that people actually wanted to vibe with. Honestly, I think a big part of his popularity was how genuine he seemed. A lot of artists always seem to be chasing trends, but Werenoi stuck to his style and never seemed to care much about the spotlight. His lyrics hit different because you could tell he was talking from real experiences, not just making stuff up for clout.
Also, his albums, like Carré and Pyramide, just took over the charts. I remember everyone in my school was talking about his tracks and sharing them online. Even artists like Indochine and Billie Eilish, who usually dominate, were behind him in sales for a while. Dude just knew how to make music that stuck with you. He barely did interviews or public stuff, but that made him more mysterious, so everyone wanted to know more.
In my opinion, Werenoi's success came from being super relatable for a lot of people and staying true to himself. It didn't hurt that his beats were always fire! If you ask anyone who's been into French rap lately, they'd say Werenoi is one of the best to ever do it.
