Honestly, I think it’s because it’s just easier and faster to send eid mubarak wishes online. My family always used to call each person or send cards, but now it feels like everyone just sends messages or posts pictures on WhatsApp or Instagram. You don’t have to wait to see people in person or buy a card—you can reach way more friends and family at once. Plus, all the cool Eid images and memes make it feel more fun and personal, especially if you’re far away from people you care about.
I’ve noticed my group chats get busy on Eid. Sometimes, if I forget someone, I feel bad, but honestly, people just expect an emoji or a cute picture and that’s enough. I still like it when someone takes the time to call me, but I get why everyone’s moved to digital. It fits our lives now, especially when all your friends and cousins are scattered in different cities or even countries. Eid’s big on connection, and tech just makes it simpler and a lot more instant.
