From everything I’ve seen, Access Bank tries to stand out by being way more digital than most old-school banks in Zambia. My dad still uses one of those other banks with endless paperwork and lines, but my friends and I signed up for Access Bank because everything is just faster—online transfers are quick and their app actually works.

Since Zambia’s getting new notes and coins, Access Bank seems more ready for it, posting guides online and sending texts about what to look for with the new cash. The rates they show are updated almost every day, so you can actually catch the best time to swap dollars or kwacha.

Honestly, some people still don’t trust banks because of how things used to be, but I think Access Bank being open to tech, giving info about all this currency change, and making things less old-fashioned makes them pretty different than the rest right now. Plus, customer service isn’t super grumpy like a lot of other places, which actually makes a difference. If you want less stress with your money, that’s why people give Access Bank a shot these days.
