Oh man, I think about this all the time! Like, why do some players get a ton of hype and then just kinda disappear, but Jannik Sinner keeps getting better and actually wins stuff? For one, he’s super chill. He doesn’t act all cocky or try to get attention off the court, but when he plays, he’s totally focused and just doesn’t crack under pressure. That’s not super common for 23-year-olds who are already number one in the world.
Also, he seems to really respect his opponents and the game. You never see him doing weird drama for clout. Even other players like Bublik, who’s literally known for being a joker, just end up admiring him because Sinner is that good. And not to sound cheesy, but I think his mental game makes the biggest difference. I tried to play like him once at my high school practice—just staying calm when I was down—and it actually helped. He just doesn’t seem to get rattled, which is so rare in any sport, especially with the pressure he has now. That’s what really sets him apart in my opinion.
