So, Trump bringing up Julius Malema during his meeting with President Ramaphosa was kind of wild. It looked like Trump wanted to embarrass Ramaphosa or push him to take some kind of action, especially after showing everyone those videos of Malema singing Kill the Boer and talking about land reform. In my experience, this feels like classic Trump—stirring up controversy and using other leaders’ actions to make a point or push his own agenda.

Trump basically accused South Africa of white genocide, which isn't backed up by the actual stats. He kept hammering Ramaphosa about why Malema hadn't been arrested, almost like he wanted to make an example out of South Africa’s handling of free speech and crime. That made things pretty tense between the US and South Africa for a while, and I remember a lot of people online either praising Trump for "standing up" or calling him out for totally misunderstanding the South African situation.

Personally, I feel like using Malema in this way just made everything more dramatic and probably didn't help anyone on either side. It was more about scoring political points than finding real solutions, if you ask me.
