I saw that James Comey situation online and it made me wonder if public figures can ever just post like normal people. So, from what I read, Comey shared some post that people thought had a political message, and it got taken down real fast. He claimed he didn't realize how it could be seen as connected to violence, but the internet moved faster than him and people called him out right away.

Honestly, I’ve posted stuff I thought was harmless and had friends get upset or misunderstand me, so I get it to a point. But with James Comey, everything he does is news. Some think he was just trying to make a point and didn’t expect the drama, while others say he should‘ve known better. I guess if you’ve been FBI director, your words always have extra meaning. So, he probably was just misunderstood, or maybe he underestimated how closely everyone is watching him.
