As a Brighton fan, I'd be pretty gutted if Joao Pedro left for Chelsea right after blowing up here. He just started making a real impact and everyone's finally talking about Brighton's young talent. It feels unfair, like every time we find someone amazing, a big team just throws loads of money and takes him away. I remember when we lost Ben White to Arsenal – it kinda divided the fanbase, some people understood it, others were just mad at the club for selling our best players.

I get that Chelsea coming in with a massive offer is hard to turn down for the club and Joao Pedro himself probably dreams of playing on the biggest stage. But I just wish we could keep our stars a bit longer, ya know? It'd honestly suck for the fans, but at the same time, we’d be proud of Joao Pedro since he deserves all the recognition. Brighton always finds a way to bounce back though, so even if he goes, I'll still support the team and hope the next young talent steps up. That’s just football life for us mid-table fans!
