Honestly, at Babcock University, leaving campus without permission is taken way more seriously than people think. It's a private school, so they have all these strict rules about student movement. I remember hearing about a guy who thought he'd just sneak out for a weekend, but when the school found out, they really came down hard on him. Sometimes it's because they want to keep everyone safe, but it also has a lot to do with their reputation. If something bad happens to a student outside, the school gets the blame.

People think it's just about following rules, but for Babcock, it's a security thing. Like, in the story about Oladipupo, he disguised himself just to get out, and when he was reported missing, it blew up all over social media, making the school look bad. If you get caught, you could get suspended, and if you're involved in other problems, you could even get expelled. It's kind of scary, so everyone I know that's there is really careful not to break the rules, even if they seem too strict sometimes.
