This is one of the scariest parts nobody talks about enough. When those dangerous inmates escaped from New Orleans jail, all the victims’ families and witnesses from their cases had to be warned right away. Some of them even had to leave their homes and get relocated somewhere safer, just so the escapees couldn't find them if they tried to get revenge or silence them.

That sounds super stressful. Imagine your life is already turned upside down after a crime and now you might have to move just because of a jail break. I think sometimes people forget what it’s like for families dealing with this. It’s not just about catching the escapees, it's about protecting all the people who could be in danger now. I guess the police, the FBI, and even the U.S. Marshals got involved to help keep everyone safe, but it doesn't change how freaked out people must feel. Nobody signs up for that kind of chaos, and it all started with the jail not being secure enough.
