This whole Fubara visits Tinubu situation is kind of a trip, especially considering how much he and Wike can't stand each other right now. If you ask me, Fubara probably figured he had nothing to lose because he's already suspended. Meeting Tinubu could show he's making an effort for peace and maybe win him some points with people tired of all the drama.

Plus, I bet he was hoping Tinubu would side with him or at least not let Wike control the whole narrative. I mean, Wike is like a big boss in Rivers politics, so going to the president for help makes a ton of sense if you're feeling cornered. I got a friend in Port Harcourt and he said a lot of people think Fubara is trying to flip alliances and maybe get some backing to outpower Wike. It’s risky, but sometimes you gotta go for it when you’re in a bad spot, right?
