So, Chelsea winning the Europa Conference League under Todd Boehly is kinda wild because this was their first European trophy since the new owners came in. From what I've seen, a lot of people doubted them since their season was all over the place, and their coach, Enzo Maresca, only just took over. But honestly, they timed everything just right for the final. Their younger squad finally clicked, with Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernández both showing why Chelsea paid so much for them. Plus, Maresca made some smart tactical switches, like bringing in Reece James and fresh legs exactly when Betis started looking shaky.
In my opinion, it also helped a lot that Chelsea had already qualified for the Champions League, so there wasn’t crazy pressure—the guys just played their football and took their chances when Betis lost focus. Todd Boehly’s whole thing was investing in promising young players and a new coach who wants to prove himself, so this was like a perfect reward for that big gamble. It felt like the start of a new thing for Chelsea, not just more of the old winning formula. Kind of inspiring if you ask me!
