From what I've seen, Akin Alabi being installed as Jagun Olubadan wasn't just a random thing or because he's famous. It's a legit honor given to someone who’s made a real difference, especially for the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency in the National Assembly. I remember my uncle talking about how these titles usually go to people who step up for their communities or do important stuff in government. For Akin Alabi, people say it's a sign that he's actually getting recognized for his efforts as a lawmaker, not just for his business or sports stuff. Speaker Abbas even said that it shows how lawmakers there are making a big impact. I honestly think it's kind of cool to see politicians getting traditional titles for their work instead of the usual noise about corruption. Sure, not everyone agrees with handing out titles to politicians, but at least this time it seems to mean something for community service and good leadership. Props where it's due, you know? If more government folks got recognized for the good they actually do, maybe people would trust the government a bit more.
