Honestly, I always thought about this too. Like, my parents are always fussing over me and my little brother, so in a way, it DOES feel like every day is our day. But having an actual "childrens day" makes it feel extra special. It’s like your birthday, but ALL kids get to celebrate together. I remember when my town had one of those events, with games, crafts, and even the firetruck for us to climb on. People bring food donations and win prizes, so it actually becomes a fun community thing, not just free attention for us kids. Plus, it’s a nice break for parents to just chill out and play without worrying about anything else. I get the point adults make, but honestly, it just feels good knowing there’s a whole day where the goal is to have fun and not be told to "clean your room." So yeah, kids get a lot already, but I think having one official childrens day just makes us feel seen, you know?
