Honestly, from what I saw and heard, everyone expected Seattle Sounders vs PSG to be a total mismatch because PSG is one of those mega-rich European teams that buy the best talent, while Seattle plays in Major League Soccer, which isn’t seen as super competitive worldwide. I remember chatting with my friends before the match, and we all joked about PSG probably smashing the Sounders just because of their crazy roster and all those international stars. Seeing the final score was 2-0 for PSG (like ESPN said), it kind of felt like everyone was right.

But it actually bugs me a little. I’ve watched Seattle play some really solid soccer, and I think people don’t give MLS teams credit. Yeah, PSG probably dominated possession or had way more shots, but I saw Seattle defend hard and even push forward a few times. Maybe it was a mismatch on paper, but that’s kind of what the Club World Cup is about—giving these underdog teams a legit shot against giants. I wish more fans would cheer for the little guys. Sometimes, people act like MLS teams are just there for show, which totally isn’t fair if you actually watch the games.
