Honestly, Dunsin Oyekan just hits different for a lot of gospel fans. For starters, I’ve noticed that he pours real emotion and personal stories into his songs, not just catchy beats. I remember hearing “Fragrance to Fire” and feeling like he wasn’t just singing—he was sharing his life. People love how open he is, especially when he talks about tough stuff like losing his wife but still finding joy in God.
He’s also super talented with instruments. He started playing when he was just 10 because of his dad, so he doesn’t just sing—he can play the guitar, drums, and keyboard. Not all gospel artists have that skill set. Plus, he’s worked with big names like Tasha Cobbs and Don Moen, so you know he’s respected beyond Nigeria too.
But what really stands out to me is how he makes his fans part of his journey. He shares his pain and his healing on social media, and people really connect with that. He always comes off as real, not just a celebrity, and I think that’s what makes him unique in the crowd.
