Honestly, I tried watching Kevin Costner’s The West and I totally get why people think he sounds kinda bored. His voice is pretty flat in the show—a lot of the reviews said the same thing. It's almost like he's reading out loud for a school project he doesn't care much about. I don’t know if he was just tired or if that’s his usual style, but it’s definitely not hyped up or dramatic at all.

Some people love documentaries when the narrator pulls you in, but with Costner, it feels more like background noise. I’ve fallen asleep to it once before! For history fans who want something exciting, it's probably a letdown, but if you’re just looking for something chill or to pass the time, it works. I wish he put more energy into it, though. That would make the stories about the Wild West way more fun to listen to. But if you like Kevin Costner and slow-paced documentaries, you'll still get something out of it.
