It's kinda wild, but pepe mujica is still super loved by a lot of people, even though he wasn't perfect as president. I think it's because he just seemed real, you know? Most politicians are super polished and sound fake, but Mujica always talked straight, acted how he wanted, and didn't act like he was better than anyone because of his job. People cared that he lived simply, didn't care about money, and never got into big corruption scandals like you see in so many other places.

Sure, people criticized him for spending a lot or not fixing education enough, but he never promised miracles. In my opinion, he actually faced those problems with honesty, and that's rare. He was always connecting with ordinary people, not just big shots, and in a weird way, his flaws made him more relatable. I guess if you're seen as a "good guy" who really tries, people look past a few mistakes. That's why I think Mujica's popularity stayed pretty strong, even when not everyone agreed with everything he did.
