Why do some people say Eid Mubarak even if they don't consider themselves very religious? Is it more about community, or just an excuse to celebrate and have fun with friends?

Honestly, I've seen a bunch of people who don't really do all the religious stuff still say Eid Mubarak or post about it. For me, it's not always about how strict you are about religion, it's more like a tradition. It's just nice to be a part of something that brings everyone together, like how even non-religious folks celebrate Christmas or Diwali.

When I say Eid Mubarak, it's usually because I wanna be included in the good vibes and the excitement. Plus, it's a great excuse to see friends, eat awesome food, and just take a break from regular boring days. And yeah, even if someone's not praying five times or fasting the whole month, they can still appreciate the togetherness and kindness that come with Eid.

I remember my neighbor would always give out sweets on Eid even though he didn't really go to the mosque. He did it because everyone else was celebrating and it made the street feel like one big family party. So, it's definitely not just about religion, it's about connecting with people and sharing a moment that matters to a lot of folks.
