I've always thought it's kinda weird that the champions league table often messes with everyone's expectations. Like, people always assume if you're super high on the table, you're automatically better than anyone under you. But honestly, the champions league is famous for wild upsets and games where the so-called underdogs outplay the usual favorites. I remember when Ajax made it way further than anyone guessed, and nobody had them as "the best" on paper.
The table just shows who got the results—doesn't always show the most skill or heart. Sometimes teams only need a couple positive results and some luck, and suddenly they're up there, while a team full of superstars can have an off game and fall out. Plus, stuff like injuries, crazy travel, and even just bad luck can mess things up fast. It keeps things exciting, but I've learned not to trust the table like it's the final truth about who's best. It's just a snapshot, not the whole story. Anyone who watches the games knows that the best team doesn't always end up at the top.
