Honestly, I always see these recruitment cdcfib warnings saying the process is free and not to pay anyone, but every single year, people still get tricked. From what I've noticed, it's because everyone is just desperate for jobs, and some folks believe paying might give them an edge or guarantee. My cousin nearly sent cash to some random account once because he thought the job was a done deal if you paid and he didn't want to get left out. But the real CDCFIB site literally says the applications are totally free and even threatens to ban multiple registrations. It's always some sketchy form or random bank account (I've seen stuff like the one with Muhammad Abubakar Sani at PAGA) that tricks people. It sucks, but I think peer pressure and FOMO do more harm than the lack of info. I wish more families talked about fraud at home, honestly, because everyone's just getting their hopes up for nothing. Just stick to the official cdcfib portal, don't trust WhatsApp screenshots or random charges, and you'll be good. If you’re ever unsure, ask someone you trust before moving any money. Stay safe out there—it’s wild.
