Honestly, bad thoughts on Netflix is getting all this attention because it just goes way harder than most comedies I’ve seen. Unlike the usual stuff that kinda tiptoes around dark topics, this show just straight up smashes past every line you think there is. I watched the first couple of episodes with my older brother and both of us kept looking at each other like, "Wait, did he just say that?"
A lot of people are kinda shocked by how much the show leans into stuff you’re not supposed to joke about. I get it; some parts made me super uncomfortable, but that’s what makes it different. Tom Segura is like, totally fearless, and some of the stuff he comes up with could really mess with your head if you’re not expecting it. It’s all these messed up vignettes, like the one with the country music star kidnapping fans, and it flips what you’d expect in a comedy.
So yeah, compared to most dark comedies, this one actually risks being offensive on purpose. I like that it forces people to think instead of just laugh or zone out, but I also get why some folks think it’s too much.
