Why is workday being used by so many colleges for things like registering for classes and handling money? Is it really better than old systems or just the latest trend?

Honestly, I think a bunch of colleges use workday mainly because it keeps everything some place tidy, instead of having like five different random websites for classes, grades, and money stuff. My school switched to workday last year, and at first, literally everyone was lost (I couldn't even figure out how to find my classes!), but over time, I gotta admit, it was kinda convenient having one login for everything.

But here's the thing: just because workday looks new and official, doesn't mean it's perfect. Lots of us still complain about weird bugs or not being able to find stuff without using the help desk. Some people say the old systems were messy but at least we were used to them. I think colleges probably picked workday because it's good for business—they say it helps with reports and managing student info all together. Some teachers like it, some don't. If I'm being honest, I think it's just the latest popular thing and in a few years there will probably be something newer that schools will switch to. If you're struggling with the switch, you're definitely not alone. Stick with it and always ask for help when you get stuck.
