Honestly, the whole Korra Obidi and Spirit Airlines thing feels like a mess that could have been avoided. So, here's what I found out: Korra showed up wearing something that the airline said broke their updated dress code. That new rule, which started just a few months ago, actually says passengers can't wear see-through clothes. But in my experience, airlines can get super picky for no real reason. I remember once getting side-eyed for wearing ripped jeans at the airport.
For Korra, some people think she was targeted just because she's known for her bold outfits and huge following online. Like, it almost seems like airlines want to make an example out of famous people. What's weird is that other girls before her have also been kicked off Spirit flights for just wearing crop tops. It makes you wonder who's deciding what's "appropriate." At the same time, an airline is a private company, so they can technically set whatever rules they want—even if they feel a little outdated or random.
If you ask me, it was a mix of both: maybe the outfit wasn't Spirit's favorite, but also maybe they were being way too harsh, and Korra just happened to be a famous name. Rules are rules, but it feels like they can pick and choose when to use them.
