Okay, so the reason the jamb utme was rescheduled for some people was because there were major problems during the original exam. Some folks' centers had technical issues like computers not working, or there were reports of cheating, so JAMB decided they should sit again. I remember my neighbor complaining that their center literally shut down mid-exam and everyone got sent home.
But why did the results take longer to come out? Well, besides just marking the new papers, JAMB said they had to double-check for cheaters and fix errors with the original sessions. They even worked with security agencies and exam experts—like, proper extra checking—to make sure the new scores were fair and legit. A bunch of results were held up because of this review, and some were even withdrawn if they found "irregularities" or cheating like WhatsApp runs (I thought that was wild).
To be real, it can feel unfair for people waiting around, not knowing what's up, but I get that JAMB wanted to be extra sure this time. No one wants to get their hopes up, only to hear later the result wasn’t valid. Waiting was super stressful for people I know, though. I just hope they do a smoother job next year.
