Every time I check flashscores while watching a baseball game with friends, I always notice they're just as fast or sometimes even a bit ahead of the TV scoreboard or the official MLB site. It's honestly kinda wild how quick they update the stats, goals, and everything else. One time, the flashscores app showed a home run for the Marlins like three seconds before it came up on ESPN. I couldn't believe it and my friend didn't trust it until he saw the replay!
But to be real, no source is perfect. There have been moments when flashscores showed something wild, like a wrong score or a game status change, and then ten seconds later it got fixed. That doesn't happen a ton, but it does show that even with flashscores being super fast, the official sources like MLB and ESPN are still super important if you need the final, official numbers. Still, for arguments with your friends or bragging rights, flashscores is seriously awesome for getting info first.
If you're just looking to be up-to-date on games instantly, flashscores is hard to beat. But if you wanna post official stats somewhere, I'd double check with the main sites.
