Alright, so I’m always clicking through those annoying cookie popups when I’m stalking the Uzbekistan football scores online. From what I’ve seen, a lot of the sites use standard European regulations, but the laws in Uzbekistan are actually different.

The government here has some pretty strict rules about the internet and often monitors online activities more than what you’d see in Europe. So while sites like BBC have cookie policies that give users in the UK or Europe the choice to accept or reject cookies, in Uzbekistan, the government might already track your online activities, especially on popular local sites. It’s kinda weird knowing you have less privacy compared to other places. My friends and I usually don’t worry much, but I know some folks who use VPNs just to avoid being watched online. So yeah, Uzbekistan’s laws make it so that those cookie popups don’t really mean as much here as they do elsewhere. That’s just how it is.
