Honestly, when Man City smashed Juventus with five goals, I was pumped! But then I started thinking, could it kinda suck for them later? I've seen teams absolutely smash a big rival and then get way more attention, pressure, or even end up facing a sneaky strong opponent next. Like, from what happened after this game, Juventus is probably stuck with Real Madrid, but City has to play RB Salzburg next. Salzburg isn't as huge a name, but these smaller teams can go extra hard because they have literally nothing to lose and tons to prove.
Plus, after such a big win, City players might chill out a little or even get overconfident. I've had coaches in school matches warn us about that—when you destroy someone, the next team shows up twice as fired up, and you're not ready for that vibe. So yeah, even though it looked amazing on paper, destroying Juventus could accidentally make Man City's path trickier if they start underestimating anyone or feel all the hype. I've seen that happen before—it’s seriously a thing! So sometimes, blowing out a big team isn't as perfect as it seems.
