I totally get why people are suspicious whenever there's a giant recall like this one. It kind of makes you wonder if anything in your cabinet is actually safe. But I think these FDA recalls and audits actually make eye care products safer in the long run. Like, the whole point of the FDA doing such a strict audit was to catch companies that aren’t following the proper rules.
If companies know they’re being watched, they’ll be way more careful with how they make stuff, especially things that go in your eyes (which is kinda sensitive, right?). I remember when my sister used some recalled eye drops a couple years back and got a nasty infection—after that, our family checks every recall list just in case.
It’s annoying and scary when stuff like this happens, but it’s better to know now before people get hurt. So yeah, maybe the recall freaks people out in the short term, but in my opinion, it actually forces companies to improve. I kind of trust FDA audits after all this; at least someone’s looking out for us.
