Honestly, I feel like this Canada work permit rule change is shaking things up. Some folks say it’ll make foreign workers just jump ship all the time, and maybe it will. But if you ask me, workers deserve the chance to leave if they find something better or if a boss is treating them poorly. Before this, workers could kinda get trapped with a bad employer just because they had to wait for a new permit, and that never really seemed fair.

If more people switch jobs now, maybe employers will try harder to actually treat workers decent so they stay. I remember my cousin worked two jobs in Canada and felt stuck at his first one because of all the paperwork hassles. Now, he’d have options, and that’s a good thing, right? I get that companies might have to work more to keep their staff, but that’s just how the world should work. Good workers should have choices, just like everyone else. So yeah, it probably gives workers a bit more power, but I think that’s overdue.
