Alright, so about Abdullahi Sule donating like 25 million naira to fix up the National Museum in Jos—at first I thought, why's a Nasarawa governor putting money into a Jos project anyway? But then I read that he actually did it because he believes the museum really matters for society, and not just for Plateau State but for the whole area.

I've noticed before that sometimes politicians do stuff like this to help with culture or history, not just in their own state. I think it’s kind of cool, because museums usually don’t get much attention, especially with all the stuff going on in Nigeria, so someone putting a lot of cash into one stands out. Maybe Abdullahi Sule wants to show that he cares about culture and is supporting development outside his own base, not just chasing votes. To me, it’s kind of unexpected but I get it, Nigeria’s culture needs all the help it can get. Maybe if more leaders did this, more historical places wouldn’t fall apart!
