The DSS totally did say in court that they didn’t arrest Nnamdi Kanu in Kenya. I think this is a pretty big deal because there have been tons of rumors about how he ended up back in Nigeria in the first place. The DSS is basically Nigeria’s secret service, but the officer on the stand made it super clear that their job is only inside Nigeria, not in other countries. He said he had no clue who actually arrested Kanu in Kenya.

Why does it matter? Well, some people say if he was truly kidnapped or grabbed illegally, then his trial in Nigeria could be considered unfair or illegal. That’s what his lawyers keep saying, at least. And the prosecution wants to make it seem like everything is legal and by the book, to keep the trial going. I’ve seen this argument pop up a lot in law and government stuff when someone gets taken across borders without following proper rules.

From what I’ve heard, no one really knows exactly what went down in Kenya, and both sides keep arguing about it. It’s like a constant mystery in the whole Nnamdi Kanu news scene! If it ever gets cleared up, it could totally change his case.
