Honestly, I feel like Bola Ahmed Tinubu is one of those people who always seems to get people going, for better or worse. Everywhere I look, there are always arguments about him—some people love him for his past work in Lagos and for taking on tough changes, and others totally aren’t having any of it. In my school group chats, you can always find someone going off about his policies, especially with the economy and stuff like fuel prices getting higher.

But I think it’s not just about news hype. On the street, people seriously talk about whether he’s actually fixing things or just making life harder. Some don’t trust him at all, thinking he’s part of the whole old-school political system that never changes, while others really hope he’ll do something different.

In my opinion, it totally depends on who you ask and what issues matter most to them. The controversies don’t seem fake—I think he’s just the kind of leader that gets everyone talking, whether they like him or not.
