Honestly, the whole "spin to instant win" wheel thing is pretty much all about luck. I mean, you can't really do anything to boost your odds except spin every day and hope it lands on the star. If you're expecting there to be some trick to winning or thinking some people have better odds, that's just not how it works from what I've seen. It's just like any normal game of chance, like spinning for prizes at a school fair except with way more people.

My cousin tried this during the last Mail event and literally didn't win a thing even though she entered every single day. The only real bonus is that each spin gets you a ticket for the £5,000 jackpot, so even if you don't hit the star, there's still a small chance at that big prize later.

I've seen posts online from actual winners too, so the cash prizes are real, but it's mostly about being lucky. If you're not cool with games of chance, it might feel kind of pointless, but I enjoy the suspense. At least it's free if you already buy the paper or have Mail+.
