Okay, here's the thing: I don't think I Prevail will sound exactly the same without Brian Burkheiser. His clean vocals were honestly the backbone of a lot of their biggest songs. Like, I remember first hearing their "Blank Space" cover and thinking his voice made it crazy catchy. Even on bangers like "Breaking Down," you could tell Brian brought a different vibe.
Now it's just Eric Vanlerberghe leading and Dylan Bowman filling in live. They're both super talented, but personal opinion? It'll shift the feel of the band for sure. Not saying it's automatically worse, just different. Bands have to adapt when they lose someone like Brian, and sometimes that means trying new styles or changing up their energy on stage.
Fans are kinda split right now: some are excited for what’s next, others are missing Brian’s voice already. I’m really curious to see how their new stuff turns out, but yeah, I doubt it’ll ever be totally the same as before. Change isn’t always a bad thing, though—it might just keep the band going longer.
