This gets people talking for sure. From what I’ve seen online and in fan groups, there are definitely a lot of book fans who were pretty vocal about stuff the show changed. Some people felt it went way off what Robert Jordan wrote, but I don’t actually think that’s why The Wheel of Time got cancelled. I mean, big studios like Amazon mostly care if enough people are watching and if it’s making sense money-wise. Even with some angry book fans, tons of people still loved the show or even found it through Prime Video without reading the books. There’s always gonna be drama in any fandom, but all the news says Amazon cancelled it mostly for production costs and viewership, not because people didn’t like the changes. If anything, some changes probably kept it interesting for people who wanted a fresh take. I totally get why old school fans were bummed, but it looks like money stuff mattered way more at the end of the day.
