I was honestly a little shocked when I saw Arsenal agreed to pay all £51 million for Zubimendi. That's a big price tag, and there's always the risk it flops. But if you look at what he did at Real Sociedad, the guy's got skills—he's smart, never panics, and can basically control the whole midfield. Last season he started almost every game and put in some crazy good passing stats.
In the Premier League, prices are wild now, so paying the release clause isn't that unusual if you really believe the player fits your system. And with Jorginho leaving, Arsenal needed someone who can just slot in and run the show from deep. Do I think it's a little expensive? Yeah, maybe, but that's just how transfers go. If Zubimendi helps Arsenal win a trophy, nobody's gonna care what they paid. In my opinion, if he can bring stability and help them actually compete with City, the money’s worth it.
