Honestly, that's what a lot of people are asking right now. Some folks think Akwa Ibom joining APC could mean the state finally gets more support from the federal government, especially because the president and most national bigwigs are APC too. It’s kind of like if you’re on the coach's side, you might get picked more.

But from watching this stuff over the years, sometimes it’s just about making the governor and his friends look good, not really about helping everyone else. My mom always says, "All politicians say they’re switching parties for the people, but half the time it’s about looking after themselves." She might not be wrong.

Governor Eno says he wants unity and more development projects, especially now that Tinubu is cutting petrol subsidies and pushing reforms. If that actually happens, sick. But if it’s just talk and we see the same old problems, then yeah, it’s all just more political games. If it works, I'll be really surprised for once.
