Does the spacex starship launch really mean we're all going to get cheap flights to space soon or is that just something they say for good PR? I've seen so many articles talk about it, but is there any proof it'll actually lower costs?

Honestly, I think this whole idea that the spacex starship launch will make space travel cheap for everyone is kind of exaggerated—for now at least. SpaceX keeps saying the main reason they're pushing so hard on Starship is to bring down costs with full reusability, and yeah, that's super cool on paper. But launches are still insanely expensive overall, and even if Starship can carry 100 to 150 tonnes per flight, it's not like they're flying tourists into space yet.

I've watched the hype videos and read those wild Elon Musk tweets, but from what I've seen, most of the Starship launches so far are still in the testing stage. They're trying to get the rocket to land safely and reuse it. Until they actually start doing regular, reliable reuse with minimal repairs, I don't think we're going to see those crazy low prices everyone talks about. I do think it's possible in the future, just not as fast as the headlines say. It's more of a long-term promise than something that's real right now, especially for companies or regular people trying to book a trip up there. But hey, it's exciting to watch, and I'm crossing my fingers that someday it will be as cheap as they hope!
