From what I've heard, Tinubu's appointments aren't making life any easier for most students or teachers. Like, lots of teachers I know say things are even tougher now—tuition is way up, and the money for stuff like textbooks and supplies just isn't there. There's also this feeling that unless you know someone, you can't get a good teaching job or scholarship anymore. My cousin got super frustrated trying to talk to her university about student issues, but the new council didn't listen at all.

People say some of the new folks on the councils care more about making themselves look important than actually fixing stuff—like the classrooms with no power or the kids dropping out because they can't afford school. And inflation is so bad right now, even basic things like food are hard to get if you're a student. I'd love to say Tinubu's appointments are helping, but from what I've seen, it's mostly business as usual—more big talk and not much actual help.
