If you’re living in Sandestin, there’s actually a little trick to getting discounts on Cox Communications stuff. I found out when my neighbor upgraded her cable and almost missed out on a deal. To get the best rate, you have to call the special sales rep for Sandestin or email the owners’ association first, instead of just signing up online or through customer service. If you miss this step, you might end up paying the full price and not get the owner discount, which kinda sucks.
They even have it set up so that your regular cable bill gets grouped with your HOA payments, but if you want anything extra (like faster internet or premium channels), you have to talk to the rep and make sure it’s all listed under your property for the discount. If your bill comes directly from Cox instead of through the Sandestin rep, you should double-check because mistakes happen. My advice: be that annoying person who asks twice. It saves money, and from what I've seen, it actually works out for most people if they're careful about it.
