Oh man, asuu strikes mess up so many things for students. I remember when my brother was supposed to finish university like two years ago, but because of the asuu strike, everything just froze. Classes stopped, exams got cancelled, and the school calendar went totally off. Some of his friends had internship offers or jobs lined up, but those got delayed, so yeah, graduation dates can get pushed back by months, sometimes even a whole year!
It gets really stressful because nobody knows when they're actually going to finish. Future plans like NYSC, postgraduate studies, or even getting jobs, just get put on hold. Also, students lose motivation and some forget what they've learned when school starts again, which really sucks. I've seen some people switch schools or even go abroad if they can afford it because they just can't deal with all the uncertainty. It's a big deal, and honestly, students are the ones who suffer the most every time asuu decides to go on strike.
